CoPilot Live Premium – Android App update now available

We are delighted to announce our latest update for our CoPilot Live Premium Android apps.

This latest update (version 9.1.0.161) brings a variety of improvements and enhancements based on customer feedback.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Favourites improved. Now you can easily give any favourite a name using an on-screen pop-up. Favourites are also now listed in alphabetical order and you can create a new favourite from My Places.
  • Better routing. We’ve added a new ‘list view’ in alternate routes so you can check out the detailed itinerary before making a choice. We’ve also made some additional tweaks to the way that alternate routes are calculated – based on customer feedback.
  • Improvements to parking. We’ve changed the UI for this – and watch this space, because there’s more to come in our next update.
  • Improvements to Wikipedia and Bing Searches. Searches are now faster and you can choose a search location.
  • Clearer directions. We’ve increased the font size for road names in 3D view.
  • Speed limit displayed when no destination entered. We have some further improvements for driving without a destination coming soon too.
  • Save Current Location. Back by popular demand. Although you can save any location as a favourite by tapping on-screen, you can also now save current location from the More menu
  • Improvements to Android tablet screen resolution detection.

An update for our iOS apps will be available shortly.

    Hi

Happy about this new update but unfortunately I found two major bugs:
1 Street-names are often concatenated so only first half is visible by example “Weststreet” is shown “West” and rest is missing. First I thought it was because there was not space on screen … but that’s not the reason (plenty of space to show full name). This bug was also present in the previous version.

2 Street name font colour in 3D view is black when using maps by night (night mode). Making it impossible to read. In 2D font colour is OK. This bug was introduced in this new version I think.

I have some screen shuts for you but can’t attach it here on this blog (don’t know how to do it)!
I can post it to you if you want it?

    Regards,
    Mittaa

Sorry … I didn’t mean “concatenated” but the opposite :-)
Last part of street names are missing!

Keeps getting worse. Don’t you even read the comments left in the Android Marketplace? And are you ever going to fix the maps and allow more customization?

      Hi Bob,

When you say getting worse, what are the issues? We read comments on the android market, on our blog, on twitter, Facebook and Get Satisfaction and sincerely we try to improve the app with every update. We can’t unfortunately answer to every request with just one update and some features need more development. The actual version allows you to customise a lot of features like your speed alerts, the information on screen, routing options, what would you like to see customised? We’re happy to receive more information and improve the app in a way that you’d be satisfied with it.

    Hi
Purchased Co-pilot live premium onto my wifes andriod phone but there appears no way of exiting the app unlike Co-Pilot live 8 which does allow you to exit copilotlive from POP up menue. This problem appears to be draining the battery quickly

      Hi Keith

There is a button in the top right hand corner in the Android app that exits the application

Please can we have the compass back (like in version 8), it’s handy to see which general direction you are travelling.

    Thanks
    Steve
