i`m not sure how i can make it clear i love to use copilot live on my touch hd from htc. the new version runs smooth and i`m going to buy tts and maybe live traffic service when the prices are fixed for Euro`s in the CoPilot Central software.

Even greater my girlfriend can handle CoPilot Live without problem and she really like to travel with it through germany. that`s the first time she told me my blackstone (touch hd) is a nice gadget to use for driving.

    Sorry for my bad english.

Looking forward to more features and so on.

I have just purchased HTC HD2 from o2, was saddened to find that now you have to pay to use Co Pilot, a shame as I have used the products for many years including upgrading last year to travel to USA. So am now upgrading to find out that the services advertised as improved software eg. voice command and weather, traffic are also not free….

I can see why they install google maps on the device as well. ( OH WELL RANT OVER )

I shall again buy the software and USA maps as I have found the product gives accurate and reliable directions, so I shall be programing in my route to visit the in laws to drop of the kids then directions for Chinatown in London for the start of New Year celebrations on Valentines day, then off to see a west end show before staying at the hotel to relax before returning to collect the kids on Monday.

I hope that everyone else has a great weekend and enjoy the benefits of Co Pilot taking the strain of map reading so you can relax.

Hi Damian. You don’t have to pay to use CoPilot, the GPS service is free to use. Weather is free and included as standard, as well as Live Local Search now too. Thanks for your feedback though, I hope you have a great weekend.

Hello Stefan, we do hope to be able to make Premium Live Services available for the pre-installed version of v8 for HD2 in the future via We’ll provide an update here when we have more news on that.
Customers wishing to remove the preinstalled version and install the standard version of CoPilot Live v8 on an HD2 may do so, but please be aware that this will disable certain custom features, for example integration with HTC Footprints and Car Kit mode.
