Know your CoPilot: How to save your current location

Did you know that in CoPilot Live v8 there are several simple ways to quickly and easily save your current location or other places as a favourite or even as a custom POI.

Save Current location Save your current location. Simply select MENU | SAVE CURRENT LOCATION and you will be asked to name your current location. Once you have given it a name and selected OK, CoPilot will save this as a favourite. You can return there by clicking MENU > MY PLACES > FAVOURITES
Tap and hold on the map Tap and hold on the map. You can tap and hold anywhere on the map in CoPilot to save the location as a favourite, a custom Point of Interest or even add it to one of the pre-loaded POI categories. You can also simply select ‘GO’ to be guided right there. It’s the ideal way to find your way back to your car in a cark park or to save the location of a favourites place visited on your travels.

Hello John, if you do choose ‘Add POI’ then you can choose ‘Favourites’ as a category. This will add that location to your favourites. You can also choose to add it to any of the other categories too.

If you have any other comments or suggestions, please let us know.

I went to Holland recently but didn’t have a Europe map so in order to return to the hotel I added the ‘current location’ however it didn’t save despite the fact that it had sound the co-ordinates of my location.

The plan was to put it into walk mode and not worry about having to remember the route back.

Could it be a bug or a feature that once your out of a licensed region it stops working?
