Beat the crowds this Spring Bank holiday

As the Spring Bank holiday weekend approaches, what better reason is there to jump in the car and take a long weekend break? But with most families looking to holiday in the UK this year, many of the country’s most popular weekend destinations are likely to be busier than usual. So to help you beat the crowds, we have compiled a list of ten of the UK’s more hidden hotspots to help you enjoy a relaxing weekend in peace.

To make getting to these hidden places easy, we have included them in a new points of interest (POI) file ready to download straight to your phone, helping you arrive relaxed and ready to have some fun!

There’s a hidden gem for everyone with CoPilot Live:


1. Visit the beautiful village Borth in west Wales and soak up some of the Welsh atmosphere.
2. Take a winding drive out to Symonds Yat in Ross-on-Wye and navigate your way round the Jubilee maze, or take a boat out on the River Wye.
3. See the cute baby lion cubs at South Lakes Wild Animal Park in Cumbria.
4. Visit the legend that is Jarvis Cocker’s place of work pre-Pulp days – a fish stall in Castle Market, Sheffield.
5. Take a day trip to Mapledurham House – a working mill, where Black Sabbath shot one of their album covers.
6. Skip those queues at the V&A in London, and see an alternative hat exhibition at the Hat Works in Stockport.
7. Leave the kids at home and escape for a romantic weekend at the stunning Hunstrete House in Bath.
8. Visit Newchurch-in-Pendle – one of the country’s most haunted towns, and prepare to be spooked!
9. See Pooh Bear’s original home by visiting Ashdown Forest, a guaranteed fun-filled day for all the family.
10. If you have a sweet tooth, pop in to Brighton’s best bakery, Angel Food Bakery and sample their cupcake delights!

To install download the favorites file (RIGHT-CLICK and download):

CoPilot Live 7 Instructions
1. Copy CSV file to CoPilotEUSave
2. Launch CoPilot
3. CoPilot will integrate POI’s
5. Search around a City for the POI (choose CUSTOM category)
6. You should find the POI’s

CoPilot Live 7.780 (e.g. HTC Touch HD, Samsung Omnia, Sony Xperia X1, HTC Touch Cruise 2009) Instructions
1. Copy CSV file to CoPilotEUSave
2. Launch CoPilot
3. CoPilot will integrate POI’s
4. After integration message you will see the following screen, tap NEXT on St-Georges-Day for the POI to import
5. Tap NEW CATEGORY on the screen below
6. On the NEW CATEGORY screen enter St Georges Day and tap NEXT
7. On the NEW BRAND screen enter St Georges Day and tap NEXT
8. Select NO (default) and then tap NEXT
9. POI’s will integrate
10. Now inside CoPilot press MENU | DESTINATION | POI, select ST GEORGES DAY as a Category and then enter the City to search around.
