As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, that familiar feeling of wanderlust is sure to follow.
As you plan for your next great European adventure, we’d love to know which places are on your travel bucket list. Instead of the usual sites (London, Paris, Rome, etc), we’re looking to go to some places off the beaten path. Here’s a few of our dream destinations:
CoPilot has been to the bustling metropolis of Barcelona for Mobile World Congress but we have yet to experience what the capital city, Madrid, has to offer. There’s plenty to do in Spain’s largest city; you can take in the rich history of the city in its various art museums and get embraced by the locals at a Real Madrid football game in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Home to the Acropolis, one of the world’s most famous images, this Greek city boasts a deep and rich history. The birthplace of the Olympic games, democracy and philosophy is a must-see for world travelers. Once there, take in the panoramic view of the city from the top of Mount Lycabettus.
Known for the infamous Thermal Baths, Budapest is a great destination for those looking to find beautiful scenery, grand architecture and mouth-watering cuisine. There are also plenty of places to visit in Budapest, most accessed on foot! Full of 14 different statues of Hungarian historical significance, Heroes’ Square represents independence and freedom for the people in the capital.
The hauntingly beautiful town of Prague makes for an excellent vacation. Its streets are lined with fairy-tale like architecture and the narrow streets and bridges are straight out of a story book. A famous landmark, the Dancing House, is a favorite among tourists.
Any city that provides free bikes for tourists is alright in our book! Copenhagen is a sophisticated city with plenty to see. You don’t need to be a kid to visit the Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. And don’t forget to get an authentic Danish pastry while you’re there!
