Save Time, Fuel and Frustration with ActiveTraffic™

Powered by INRIX real-time traffic information, ActiveTraffic provides drivers with valuable insight into the fastest routes, helping them save time and use less fuel, thereby also saving money on gas.  Whether commuting to work, running an errand or on a weekend getaway, every driver will appreciate a stress free trip with less time spent in traffic jams.

Here’s an overview of the key features and benefits of the ActiveTraffic service, as well as how to add it to your CoPilot app:

Detailed Alternate Route Preview – Know exactly what you’re getting yourself into BEFORE you detour

With ActiveTraffic you will receive an alert if CoPilot has identified a faster route through traffic—based on the actual road conditions at that moment—to your destination. The alert will display the new suggested route along with the amount of travel time it will take you compared to your original route. This allows you to make an educated decision on whether or not to accept the alternate route. For example, perhaps the alternate route will save you 25 minutes but you don’t want to leave a main road because you’re running dangerously low on gas.  In this case, the original route may be the better choice. See screenshots below.

ActiveTraffic Service Accurate and Reliable ETAs – Know exactly when you’re going to arrive

ActiveTraffic uses real-time traffic speeds and location reports, to maintain a realistic estimated time of arrival (ETA) throughout your drive—one that is based on the actual road conditions now and not from 30 or 45 minutes ago. For example, if you’re on your way to pick up your son from pre-school and run into traffic, you can call ahead and let them know you’re running late and what time they can expect you.

At-a-Glance Display of Traffic Conditions – Know what you’re driving into

ActiveTraffic is designed to make sure you’re constantly informed of what’s ahead of you and what you can expect throughout your trip. If you choose, you can display a dynamic traffic bar alongside your map that provides a color-coded view of real-time traffic flow along your route. You can actually see how far ahead the traffic congestion goes. Sections of the route where traffic is flowing freely are in green, those with moderate congestion in yellow and severe congestion in red. And here’s a tip, tap the traffic bar at any time if you want to quickly view the Traffic Map, which shows traffic flow on the route and in the surrounding area. This is a helpful feature to use before you even get in the car! Set your destination, and then view the Traffic Map to see what the current conditions look like. See screenshots below.

Copilot looks a good sat nav for the mobile, but will it let me configure it for my car & caravan when touring.

Ho acquistato on line il vostro Copilot live per il mio samsung Galaxys III ma non riesco ad accedere a MyCoPilot e usufruire dei 12 mesi gratis da voi proposti. Come fare ? Grazie per la vostra collaborazione.
N.B. Vi prego di esprimervi eventualmente in lingua italiana perchè non conosco l’inglese.

I down loaded Copilot a few months ago for my Samsung Android. I found it very reliable except for one short “new construction” area where the road was no longer existent. It worked better than my Garmin. I do have an RV and I would subscribe to it further if it did not restrict height restriction to just 13′. Most Campers are higher than that. The truck version, is too expensive for someone in an RV. I would highly recommend the program if you are driving a car or something lower than 13′.

I like the copilot software. I bought the premium veŗsion for android tablet. I have the traffic indicator activated but it needs mobile internet connection to work. How do I get that?

Hi Lakew – You could possibly setup your mobile phone as a wireless hotspot and share the data connection with your tablet. You do need a mobile internet connection to receive the traffic information, so it’s up to you how you want to do that.
