For those of you lucky enough to have already secured a new iPad 2 3G, we’ve got great news for you.  After thorough testing, the CoPilot Live HD North America app is officially compatible with the iPad 2 3G. 

We’re excited to report the app is running perfectly, as the picture demonstrates.  Of course that’s probably not really a big surprise as under its new, slimmer skin, it’s running the same iOS 4.3, with the same screen resolution but with double the RAM.

Although, the good news for dedicated CoPilot fans is that it’s easy to transfer your CoPilot Live HD app to your new device. Simply delete the app from your original iPad and synch the new iPad 2 to iTunes.

    I’m sorry, but as a software developer I found that phrase amusing. First of all, it’s revealing that you feel the need to say that at all; it should be taken for granted.

    Was your Android phone app also “thoroughly tested”? You know, the one that won’t download maps because an essential file is missing? Did one of your people make “one last trivial change” and send it out without going through QA?

    Does wonders for the public’s perception of software quality.

      Hi rabinnh,

      We will be releasing an update for Android later this week that fixes the file missing error. We’ll announce it here as soon as its available.

      In the meantime, you can download https://copilotsupport.s3.amazonaws.com/support.zip and unzip and then copy the support.pds file into your SDCoPilotSave folder and then launch CoPilot. This will stop the ‘Required File Missing’ error.
